MAKING TAX DIGITAL -
ARE YOU READY?
You may have already heard about Making Tax Digital (MTD), HMRC’s long-term plan to modernise the tax system by requiring businesses and individuals to keep digital records and submit returns using MTD-compliant software.

MTD for Income Tax is due to start in April 2026 for those with turnover from self-employment and/or rental income over £50,000.

If you're not yet familiar with what MTD means for you or your business, now is a good time to review your systems and ensure you're prepared.

We’re thrilled to share some fantastic news about key promotions within our team, reflecting the continued growth and success of Deans.

Rachael has been promoted to Forensic Associate Director, where she will play a vital role in driving the expansion of our Forensic department. Her expertise and dedication make her the perfect fit for this position, and we’re excited to see her leadership in action!
​
Jack steps into the role of Tax Associate Director, leading the charge in growing our Tax Advisory team. His commitment to delivering expert tax advice and innovative solutions will be instrumental in shaping the department’s future.
​
Lorna will now take the helm as the sole Head of the Corporate Department, continuing to build on its success and ensuring we provide the highest level of service to our clients.
At Deans, we take great pride in seeing our team members progress in their careers. These promotions are not only a testament to Rachael, Jack, and Lorna’s hard work but also a reminder of the many opportunities for growth within the firm.

HELPING YOU TO FIND SOLUTIONS
For our first challenge this year we're taking part in Hits Radio's Walk Around the World in aid of Cash for Kids Day to help make sure no child goes hungry during the school holidays this year.
For some the holidays aren’t filled with days out, fun activities and full stomachs. They can be lonely, sad and full of worry, as they see their parents struggling to find enough money to keep them fed. That's why all the money raised this Cash for Kids Day will fund projects helping to provide food and fun for every child, so no-one misses out.
Our team are walking 250,000 steps on Wednesday 30 April.
Thank you to all those who sponsored us - the team managed an incredible 2,936,479 steps and raised £265 for the charity.
